J-Beauty vs. K-Beauty: have you ever wondered what’s the real difference between J-Beauty and K-Beauty?

When you start exploring the world of Asian skincare, sometimes you might come across some articles that depict J-Beauty as a more reliable and grown-up alternative to K-Beauty, but as someone who’s been producing beauty campaigns for both the Korean and Japanese markets, I don’t really agree with this narrative.

This is not because Korean beauty products are better than Japanese products (or viceversa), but because the arguments used to support this narrative are deceiving and based on groundless marketing claims.

To debunk this narrative, in this video I’ll go over the most common myths about J-Beauty and K-Beauty and I’ll also explain why Japanese skincare is always compared to Korean skincare in Western media.
