New Korean make-up products [April 2021 Weeks 1-2]
Given the sheer amount of Korean beauty products launching every month, it’s hard to keep up with what’s new in K-Beauty. To help you navigate the complex world of Korean Beauty, every week I break down the hottest beauty launches coming from Korea.
Unlike with my monthly posts on K-Beauty bestsellers, you won’t find any link to purchase these products as they just became available in Korea.
But without further ado, here are the latest Korean skincare offerings of the week! Don’t forget to check out this week’s skincare launches as well.
VDL – Lip Stain Melted Water Tint

VDL launched “Lip Stain Melted Water Tint“, a long-lasting liquid lip tint that coats lips with sheer, bright colours inspired by glasses of cocktails.
The watery formula features a 60% moisture content, allowing the lip tint to adhere comfortably on the lips and maintain hydration for a long time. The product contains Hydrangea Leaf Extract and Lotus Flower Extract to boost hydration and is suitable for sensitive lips.
The refreshing liquid tint paints lips with a glossy sheen that enhances their volume and fills in wrinkles (volume improvement was confirmed through a human application test performed by the inspection agency Ellead on 20 adult women from 10 to 11 August 2020).
“Lip Stain Melted Water Tint” is available in 5 cocktail-inspired hues: #01 Ice Breaker, #02 Earl Grey Sour, #03 Jack Rose, #04 Ruby Fizz, and #05 Kiss In The Dark.
Etude House – Fixing Tint

Etude House launched a transfer-proof lip tint called “Fixing Tint“.
“Fixing Tint” is a highly-moisturising lip tint with a matte finish and a light, comfortable formula. The lip tint feels hydrating during application, allowing the user to easily create a blurred look, but also seamlessly adheres to the lips and dries out matte.
The formula features a 35% moisture content, but once it’s dry, it lasts a long time without smudging under a face mask, and it evenly colours lips without bleeding into lip creases like most matte formulas.
“Fixing Tint” is available in 5 shades: #01 Analog Rose, #02 Vintage Red, #03 Mellow Peach, #04 Ginger Milk Tea, and #05 Midnight Mauve.
Innisfree – No-Sebum x Dinotaeng

Naturalistic beauty brand Innisfree launched a new limited edition of their best selling “No-Sebum Mineral Powder”. The “No-Sebum x Dinotaeng” marks the 15th anniversary of the launch of their “No-Sebum Mineral Powder” and was created in collaboration with popular Korean illustrator Dinotaeng.
The limited edition consists of 5 different versions of Innisfree’s mineral powder. Each version comes in a different packaging decorated with cute characters by Dinotaeng (Quokka, Marsh and Bobo) that will put a smile on your face just by looking at them.
Plus, every single version has a different fragrance inspired by sweet desserts: #01 Fresh Lemonade, #02 Juicy Peach, #03 Vanilla Pudding, #04 Grape Soda and #05 Mint Candy.

Too Cool For School – Tag Wonderland Edition

Too Cool For School announced the launch of “Tag Wonderland Edition“, a limited edition make-up collection of dreamy spring colours featuring warm peach shades and a hint of mysterious purple.
“Tag Wonderland” is the third collection launched for Tag, a bold make-up line created by Too Cool For School targeting the MZ Generation (Millennials + Generation Z t/n). The collection includes 1 eyeshadow palette, 1 liquid glitter eyeshadow and 2 highlighter blushes.

“Wonderland Eye Palette” is a nine-colour eyeshadow palette that is suitable for both cool and warm skin tones thanks to a combination warm peach shades and mysterious purple. The eyeshadows have an ultra-fine powder formula that seamlessly adheres to the skin without clumping, and they come in different finishes ranging from matte to glitter.

#01 Peach Haven

#02 Evening Mauve
“Wonderland Cheek Beam” is a highlighter blush that enhances complexion with a natural colour and a subtle sheen. The product has a jelly-like formula featuring a creamy surface coated with pearl particles that smoothly adhere to the skin without any fallout. “Wonderland Cheek Beam” is available in two colours: #01 Peach Heaven suitable for warm skin tones, and #02 Evening Mauve for cool skin tones.

“Wonderland Eye Glitter” is a liquid glitter eyeshadow with a clear formula enriched by sparkling glitter particles. The formula features a combination of champagne-coloured hexagonal glitters and pearl particles in different sizes, suspended on a gel polymer based that contains highly-moisturising ingredients for maximum comfort for the eyes.
Hera – New Black Cushion

Amorepacific’s luxury beauty brand Hera launched “New Black Cushion“, a new, upgraded version of their bestselling cushion foundation with a thinner formula, longer wear and improved adhesion.
“New Black Cushion” was formulated using the same magnetic-fit Cover technology found in all products from Hera’s Black line, and promises to provide flawless matte coverage for over 24 hours. Moreover, the new thinner formula adheres seamlessly to the skin, providing a comfortable fit even under a face mask.
The cushion comes in 8 different shades especially designed for Asian women’s skin tones, based on a study conducted by Hera analysing the skin tones of 2000 Asian women. The shades are: #13N1 Porcelain, #17C1 Petal Ivory, #17N1 Ivory, #21C1 Rose Vanilla, #21N1 Vanilla, #23C1 Pink Beige, #23N1 Beige, #25N1 Amber.

Laneige – Ultimistic Whipping Tint

Laneige launched “Ultimistic Whipping Tint“, a new lip tint with a soft and bouncy velvet texture created by stirring the formula multiple times, as if whipping cream.
Laneige is the first Amorepacific brand to apply the company “Real Whipping Technology“, a new formulation method created by a researched of the Amorepacific Institute by stirring the formula a thousand times with an actual hand mixer. The technology allows the final formula to be more airy, soft and bouncy and makes the water and air particles in the formula smaller and more densely distributed, resulting in a more uniform application without any clumping.
The applicator was also designed to resemble a baking spatula, with a tip that facilitates application by following the natural shape of the lips.
“Ultimistic Whipping Tint” is available in 5 shades: #01 Whipping Primer (a lip base that hydrates lips with Hyaluronic Acid), #02 Coral Brunch, #03 Rose Caramel, #04 Positive Pink and #05 Evening Red.
