New Korean skincare products [November – Week 2]
Given the sheer amount of Korean beauty products launching every month, it’s hard to keep up with what’s new in K-Beauty. To help you navigate the complex world of Korean Beauty, every week I break down the hottest beauty launches coming from Korea.
Unlike with my monthly posts on K-Beauty bestsellers, you won’t find any link to purchase these products as they just became available in Korea.
But without further ado, here are the latest Korean skincare offerings of the week! Don’t forget to check out this week’s make-up launches as well.
Bring Green – Tea Tree Cica For Men All In One Lotion

Bring Green, a naturalist functional beauty brand operated by CJ Olive Young, announced the launch of “Tea Tree Cica for Men All In One Lotion“.
The new “Tea Tree Cica for Men All In One Lotion” is the first men skincare product launched by Bring Green since the creation of the brand. Bring Green decided to launch the product after receiving many requests from their male consumers, following the popularity of the “Altenyskip” phenomenon.
In April 2021, Olive Young uploaded a promotional video for Bring Green featuring Brave Girls’ Yujeong, a popular kpop idol known to have many “uncle fans” (male fans in their 30s and 40s). Shortly after the publications of the video, fans of the singer started discussing which products were worth purchasing on an online community website called DC Inside.
A savvy user posted a guide explaining the function of the most common skincare products and when it was time to describe lotions, the user wrote: “Lotion is Altenyskip” (로션은 알테니스킵), a contraction of “I’ll skip lotion because everyone knows about it” (알고 있을 것이니 넘어간다).
Clueless users assumed the contraction was the name of a product and immediately rushed to the Olive Young website to look up “Altenyskip”. As a result, “Altenyskip” became the top searched keyword on the Olive Young website and Bring Green registered a record amount of sales in that period. “Altenyskip” became a hot topic and Bring Green started incorporating it in their marketing to engage with their customer base.
The “Tea Tree Cica for Men All In One Lotion” is an all-in-one moisturising lotion that helps soothe sensitive skin thanks to ingredients like Tea Tree and Centella Asiatica. It’s designed to meet men’s skin needs like soothing, moisture, barrier support, sebum control and skin brightening, and boasts a fresh finish with minimum stimulation and no stickiness.
Mastina – Bakuchiol line

Mastina, an anti-aging brand based on premium raw materials developed by FromBio Ltd., a company specialised in health functional foods (HFF), launched “Bakuchiol” – a complete anti-aging skincare line.
“Bakuchiol” is a total anti-aging range that targets the signs of skin aging with its moisturising, wrinkle-improving and firming properties. The line consists of “Bakuchiol Toner“, “Bakuchiol Ampoule” and “Bakuchiol Cream“, and they all contain Bakuchiol with 99% purity.
Besides Bakuchiol, the line contains Mastic Gum, one of FromBio’s individually-approved raw ingredients. Mastic Gum is a precious raw material extracted from the Greek Mastic Tree, and helps soothe, hydrate and protect skin. Through the combination of these two key ingredients, Mastina created a powerful anti-aging line.
Both the ampoule and the cream contain 10,000 ppm of Bakuchiol. The ampoule was formulated with patented ingredients with outstanding skin benefits like Hydrolyzed Collagen and Cynanchum Atratum Extract and it was shown to improve the appearance of fine lines through a series of clinical trials. The cream boast a highly-concentrated triple action formula that provides skin with hydration, nutrition and oil. It contains a 5-Total Cera complex, a moisturising agent similar to the ceramide found in the skin barrier. The toner was formulated using a polymer emulsification process in place of emulsifiers, delivering a deeply hydrating sensation. It also contains Vegetable Squalane and 10-Fold Hyaluronic Acid that help maintain skin hydrated.
All three products passed primary skin irritation tests and are suitable for sensitive skin. Additionally, the ampoule was also tested to be non-comedogenic.

Mediheal – Collagen Impact In Tightening Mask

Global cosmetic brand Mediheal is set to launch “Collagen Impact In Tightening Mask“.
Mediheal’s “Collagen Impact In Tightening Mask” is a sheet mask formulated with Milk Collagen™ that penetrates deeply into the skin and firms in without weighing it down. Milk Collagen™ offers an outstanding elasticity boosting effect thanks to 300Da Ultra-Low-Molecular Collagen that underwent a 10 step process to reduce the size of its particles, Milk Protein and Ceramide.
Through in-vivo clinical trials, the mask was shown to lead to a 32.5% improvement in skin density, a 11.38% improvement in inner skin elasticity and a 6.67% improvement in outer skin elasticity.
