Top Korean Beauty Companies Brand Reputation Rankings [January 2022]
The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute revealed the top publicly traded Korean beauty companies of January 2022.
Every month the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyses the brand value of Korean beauty companies based on multiple factors:
- Participation Index: A value that shows the interest of consumers in a certain company. It’s measured based on how many people look up the company on search engines (i.e. Naver, Daum, Google Korea etc).
- Communication Index: A value that reflects the positive or negative opinions of consumers in regards to a certain company. It’s measured based on blog posts, posts on public forums and the likes.
- Media Index: A value that shows the media’s interest in a certain company. It’s measured based on the amount of media content mentioning the company, as well as the number of comments that these contents generated.
- Community Index: A value that indicates the social media buzz generated by a certain company. It’s measured based on how many times the company is mentioned on social media (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc).
- Market Index: A value that measures the market size of a company. It’s based on business revenue and sales.
- Social Contribution Index: A value that assesses a company’s social responsibility and sustainability strategies. It’s measured through by the amount of Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives of a company.
Following these criteria, the research institute collected 25,619,869 big data entries from December 18, 2021 to January 18, 2022 to find the Korean beauty companies with the highest brand reputation.
In January 2022, Amorepacific topped the rankings with a brand reputation index of 4,453,308 (-8.01% compared to December 2021), followed by LG Household & Healthcare with an index of 3,585,538 (-31.60% compared to the previous month) and Hyundai Bioscience with an index of 2,225,612 (-43.46% compared to December 2021).
