Isa Knox launched “Age Focus Vital Collagen“, a skincare line designed to promote skin health thanks to a combination of collagen and vitamins, essential components of the skin.

All products in the line contain low molecular collagen (collagen with a molecular weight of around 1-6kDa), that is about 1/50 smaller than regular collagen and helps restore skin health. Furthermore, the products contain three types of vitamins, including vitamin B12 and vitamin E, that support the skin’s essential functions, and vitamin C to provide vital energy to the skin.

The line consists of five products “Age Focus Vital Collagen Nutritious Essential Skin”, “Age Focus Vital Collagen Nutritious Essential Emulsion”, “Age Focus Vital Collagen Nutritious Essential Serum”, and “Age Focus Vital Collagen Nutritious Essential Cream”.

Nature Republic announced the launch of “Chamomile“, a new clean beauty skincare with eco-friendly ingredients and packaging.

Chamomile is a herbal flower that has widely been used since ancient times to soothe skin and provide a soft, hydrating feeling. Nature Republic extracted chamomile at a low temperature (not higher than -10°C) to preserve its freshness and energy, as well as improve absorption.

The packaging of the line was especially designed to be eco-friendly and sustainable, thanks to the use of soy-based inks and FSC-Certified paper.

All products contain plant-derived essential oils instead of artificial fragrance, and have minimal formulas that completed primary skin irritation tests, making this line suitable for sensitive skin.

The line consists of a toner, an emulsion and a cream.

Functional beauty brand Iope launched “Vitamin A+C+E Cream“, a new multivitamin cream that combines vitamins A, C and E in a single product.

The “Vitamin A+C+E complex”, developed after long research, restores skin functions weakened by aging, improving overall skin immunity and elasticity.

In particular, the product is a complete anti-aging cream that was shown to improve the appearance of wrinkles, skin elasticity, skin density, hydration levels and loss of tone, the five main signs of skin aging. Through a clinical study conducted across 4 consecutive weeks, the product was proven to improve forehead wrinkles by 21.9%, mouth wrinkles by 15.0% and nasolabial wrinkles by 11.4%. Plus, it was also proven to improve elasticity in the forehead, lower eyelid, nasolabial, mouth and neck areas. After just one use, the cream was also shown to improve skin tone, increase skin moisture content and strengthen skin barrier function. “Vitamin A+C+E Cream” has a nutritious formula that is easily absorbed by the skin and can be used comfortably regardless of season.

Isoi, a brand that makes functional cosmetic products using only gentle and naturally-derived ingredients, launched “Blemish Care Eye Concentrate“, a brightening eye cream suitable for sensitive skin.

“Blemish Care Eye Concentrate” is double functional eye cream designed to brighten dark circles and improve the appearance of wrinkles in the delicate and sensitive eye area. The product features the same brightening powers of Isoi’s “Blemish Serum”, the serum that has been topping the sale rankings at Olive Young for 8 consecutive years, with the addition of naturally-derived firming ingredients for a complete treatment that tackles all concerns related to the eye area.

The eye cream contains Rose Otto (Bulgarian Rose Oil distilled from the Rose Valley of Kazanlak, Bulgaria), Arbutin, a brightening ingredient and berry extract, that offer both brightening antioxidant properties. The formula also contains soothing ingredients like Centella Asiatica Extract and Houttuynia Cordata Extract to quickly calm the delicate skin of the eye area irritated by the use of heavy make-up. “Blemish Care Eye Concentrate” has a bouncy whipped-cream texture and is quickly absorbed by the skin with a refreshing feeling.

Nature Republic announced the launch of “Chamomile“, a new clean beauty skincare with eco-friendly ingredients and packaging.

Chamomile is a herbal flower that has widely been used since ancient times to soothe skin and provide a soft, hydrating feeling. Nature Republic extracted chamomile at a low temperature (not higher than -10°C) to preserve its freshness and energy, as well as improve absorption.

The packaging of the line was especially designed to be eco-friendly and sustainable, thanks to the use of soy-based inks and FSC-Certified paper.

All products contain plant-derived essential oils instead of artificial fragrance, and have minimal formulas that completed primary skin irritation tests, making this line suitable for sensitive skin.

Functional beauty brand Iope launched “Vitamin A+C+E Cream“, a new multivitamin cream that combines vitamins A, C and E in a single product.

The “Vitamin A+C+E complex”, developed after long research, restores skin functions weakened by aging, improving overall skin immunity and elasticity.

In particular, the product is a complete anti-aging cream that was shown to improve the appearance of wrinkles, skin elasticity, skin density, hydration levels and loss of tone, the five main signs of skin aging. Through a clinical study conducted across 4 consecutive weeks, the product was proven to improve forehead wrinkles by 21.9%, mouth wrinkles by 15.0% and nasolabial wrinkles by 11.4%. Plus, it was also proven to improve elasticity in the forehead, lower eyelid, nasolabial, mouth and neck areas. After just one use, the cream was also shown to improve skin tone, increase skin moisture content and strengthen skin barrier function. “Vitamin A+C+E Cream” has a nutritious formula that is easily absorbed by the skin and can be used comfortably regardless of season.

While facial pads have always been available in Korea, this sudden popularity seems directly linked to the pandemic and the increasing numbers of skin concerns related to mask-wearing. Let's say you had to wear a face mask for 8 consecutive hours every day because your job, wouldn't it be nice to have a quick (and hypoallergenic) targeted treatment to soothe your skin anywhere on the go? Isa Knox launched “Age Focus Vital Collagen“, a skincare line designed to promote skin health thanks to a combination of collagen and vitamins, essential components of the skin.

All products in the line contain low molecular collagen (collagen with a molecular weight of around 1-6kDa), that is about 1/50 smaller than regular collagen and helps restore skin health. Furthermore, the products contain three types of vitamins, including vitamin B12 and vitamin E, that support the skin’s essential functions, and vitamin C to provide vital energy to the skin.

Nature Republic announced the launch of “Chamomile“, a new clean beauty skincare with eco-friendly ingredients and packaging.

Chamomile is a herbal flower that has widely been used since ancient times to soothe skin and provide a soft, hydrating feeling. Nature Republic extracted chamomile at a low temperature (not higher than -10°C) to preserve its freshness and energy, as well as improve absorption.

The packaging of the line was especially designed to be eco-friendly and sustainable, thanks to the use of soy-based inks and FSC-Certified paper.

All products contain plant-derived essential oils instead of artificial fragrance, and have minimal formulas that completed primary skin irritation tests, making this line suitable for sensitive skin.

The line consists of a toner, an emulsion and a cream.

Functional beauty brand Iope launched “Vitamin A+C+E Cream“, a new multivitamin cream that combines vitamins A, C and E in a single product.

The “Vitamin A+C+E complex”, developed after long research, restores skin functions weakened by aging, improving overall skin immunity and elasticity.

In particular, the product is a complete anti-aging cream that was shown to improve the appearance of wrinkles, skin elasticity, skin density, hydration levels and loss of tone, the five main signs of skin aging. Through a clinical study conducted across 4 consecutive weeks, the product was proven to improve forehead wrinkles by 21.9%, mouth wrinkles by 15.0% and nasolabial wrinkles by 11.4%. Plus, it was also proven to improve elasticity in the forehead, lower eyelid, nasolabial, mouth and neck areas. After just one use, the cream was also shown to improve skin tone, increase skin moisture content and strengthen skin barrier function. “Vitamin A+C+E Cream” has a nutritious formula that is easily absorbed by the skin and can be used comfortably regardless of season.

“Blemish Care Eye Concentrate” is double functional eye cream designed to brighten dark circles and improve the appearance of wrinkles in the delicate and sensitive eye area. The product features the same brightening powers of Isoi’s “Blemish Serum”, the serum that has been topping the sale rankings at Olive Young for 8 consecutive years, with the addition of naturally-derived firming ingredients for a complete treatment that tackles all concerns related to the eye area.

The eye cream contains Rose Otto (Bulgarian Rose Oil distilled from the Rose Valley of Kazanlak, Bulgaria), Arbutin, a brightening ingredient and berry extract, that offer both brightening antioxidant properties. The actress, who has been the AHC ambassador for the past 8 years, discussed with AHC about the most common skin concerns experienced by women and through these conversations, a creative director of AHC had the idea to create a product to treat age spots and melasma many women suffer from. When Asian beauty started to gain popularity outside of Asia, many people fell head over heels for the lightweight, comfortable formulas of Asian sunscreens... but not many seem to know about the difference between outdoors sunscreens and daily sunscreens in Asian beauty. This distinction actually exists in Western sunscreens as well, but it's more widespread in Asian beauty because of the characteristics of its market. Despite what you might perceive from looking at the online skincare community, the average Western consumer only wears sunscreen when they go to the beach, hence the vast majority of sunscreens available in the West are already designed for outdoor use. However, in many Asian countries wearing sunscreen everyday is nothing out of the ordinary and this led to a high demand for lightweight sunscreen formulas that could be worn comfortably on a daily basis, mostly in an indoor setting (going to the office, running errands around town etc). Usually, these sunscreens don’t have a high adhesion to the skin and wear off easily when they’re exposed to high temperatures, sweat or water. 🇬🇧 (🇮🇹 nei commenti) Can you tell which of these textures belong to a serum, which ones are essences and which ones are ampoules? I bet you can't. One of the (many) reasons why I'm so vocally against the myth of the "10 Step Korean Skincare Routine" is that it’s based on the premise that there's a standard for product nomenclature, when actually that is not the case. Companies decide to call a product "essence" / "serum" / "ampoule" etc according to how they would like customers to perceive the product. In other words: a name is just another advertising tool we advertisers use to make you interested in a product, just like a fancy packaging. Some websites will tell you that serums are usually more "concentrated" than essences, but that is a very ambiguous statement. Two different products might be labelled as "100% XYZ Plant Extract" but since you can't possibly know how much water goes into an extract, one product could be made of 98% water, while the other could be made of 80% water and still be labelled the same way. Nature Republic announced the launch of “Chamomile“, a new clean beauty skincare with eco-friendly ingredients and packaging.

Chamomile is a herbal flower that has widely been used since ancient times to soothe skin and provide a soft, hydrating feeling. Nature Republic extracted chamomile at a low temperature (not higher than -10°C) to preserve its freshness and energy, as well as improve absorption.

The packaging of the line was especially designed to be eco-friendly and sustainable, thanks to the use of soy-based inks and FSC-Certified paper.

All products contain plant-derived essential oils instead of artificial fragrance, and have minimal formulas that completed primary skin irritation tests, making this line suitable for sensitive skin.

Functional beauty brand Iope launched “Vitamin A+C+E Cream“, a new multivitamin cream that combines vitamins A, C and E in a single product.

The “Vitamin A+C+E complex”, developed after long research, restores skin functions weakened by aging, improving overall skin immunity and elasticity.

In particular, the product is a complete anti-aging cream that was shown to improve the appearance of wrinkles, skin elasticity, skin density, hydration levels and loss of tone, the five main signs of skin aging. Through a clinical study conducted across 4 consecutive weeks, the product was proven to improve forehead wrinkles by 21.9%, mouth wrinkles by 15.0% and nasolabial wrinkles by 11.4%. Plus, it was also proven to improve elasticity in the forehead, lower eyelid, nasolabial, mouth and neck areas. Like the other products in the same line, the “Illuminating Refining Essence” contains Cheongibaekyeongdan (천기백영단), an ancient royal remedy that was used to brighten complexion and give it a luminous radiance like it was glowing from within. The prescription also helps improve the appearance of wrinkles, delivering youthful beauty and vitality to the skin.

AHC, a contemporary beauty brand born from aesthetic know-how, announced the launch of “H Mela Root Ampoule“, a highly-concentrated ampoule created to treat melasma at the root and restore a clear complexion.

“H Mela Root Ampoule” is the first AHC product developed in collaboration with actress Kim Hye-Soo.

The actress, who has been the AHC ambassador for the past 8 years, discussed with AHC about the most common skin concerns experienced by women and through these conversations, a creative director of AHC had the idea to create a product to treat age spots and melasma many women suffer from. The product was then tested and co-developed by Kim Hye-Soo herself, leading to great anticipation from consumers.

“H Mela Root Ampoule” contains “Mela Root Complex”, AHC’s exclusive ingredient that effectively reduces dark spots by targeting melanocytes, that are responsible for the pigmentation of these spots. The complex also prevents the recurrence of melasma by continuously suppressing melanocytes, making this product a complete solution and not a temporary treatment.

Furthermore, AHC used their exclusive liposome technology to break down the active ingredients into fine particles of 1/235 the size of skin pores, and therefore improving absorption and efficacy of the the product, so much so that it was shown to provide visible results within the first 3 days of use.

🇬🇧 (🇮🇹 nei commenti) An interesting Korean beauty trend that was accelerated by the pandemic is 'home-aesthetic', the practice of enjoying professional beauty treatments at home (or trying, at least 😂) after social distancing lead many people to refrain from visiting aesthetic clinics on a regular basis. The trend involved skincare (with modelling masks and professional devices becoming a huge topic last year), makeup (with eyebrow lamination kits, eyelash extension kits and the likes), but it was especially noticeable in nail care, with the rising popularity of convenient (and amateur-friendly!) at-home gel manicure kits. Believe it or not I used to be really invested in nail art, but good old corona blues made me lose all motivation to take care of my nails. However, recently I gave the Speedy Gel kits by @wakemake_official a try to cheer myself up from a stressful period, and it felt really great to reconnect with my old passion. They're sets of nail stickers that harden like gel polish under a UV lamp. They come in boxes of 28 pieces (so you can use them at least twice, even more if you only replace some pieces), you just have to peel off the stickers, place them on your nail, cut them and let them sit under a UV lamp for 1 minute and that's it!
